25 Weeks

I am happy to report that the nursery is almost done. Craig has finished everything but the new floors. The wood is ordered and hopefully he will have them put down by next weekend. We ordered the furniture and are going to pick it up this weekend and store at Craigs parents house. I am very excited. I can't wait to walk in there and see everything in it's place, just waiting for our little guy to arrive.

Cody is very active these days, he still seems to love juice and fruit the most. It still amazes me when out of the blue, I feel him give me a good kick. Craig loves rubbing my belly and feeling him. Makes it so much more real.

This past weekend we went to The South Flordia Fair with the Pikes and Kellen. I love watching him and knowing that will be us next year. I'm still feeling pretty good. Getting more belly aches, but they say they are just growing pains, making room for Cody to grow and growing he is..........

23 Weeks - Introducing Cody Preston Bautz

After many weeks and months of name searching we have finally decided on our sons name. Cody Preston Bautz. Preston is my grandfathers name and Cody is something we both liked. It's funny, as soon as we decided our little guys name he started moving all about, as if to say, yippee, I love my name. Now I feel him everytime I eat something yummy(which is often). I haven't really had cravings per say, just when I see something that looks good, I have it. But everything looks good. hahaha.
My books says that Cody can hear sounds and noises now, so Craig and I talk to him every night. It's so cute to see him talking to my belly
I'm still feeling good, just a few back pains. Thanks goodness for my body pillow, without this I know I would be feeling much worse. I'm still getting to the gym a few days a week and staying active, though it is getting harder to get out bed and off the couch. So far, I can't complain, except for some belly growing pains and back aches, I've had it pretty easy, though the third trimester is right around the corner and I know this will all change very quickly.

21 Weeks - Happy New Year

We've been very busy in the last couple of weeks. We spent Christmas with Matt, Amber, her family and the pups. I was very nice. I've been hearing about how good fried Turkey was but WOW, it was so delicious. After Christmas we went to Busch Gardens for the weekend. We got a really good deal on tickets. Craig rode all the rides and while I was able to ride the Safari Train and saw all the animals. It was fun. We also purchased a bunch of things for the baby's room.

I felt the baby move for the first time this week. I think he likes juice. I went for my monthly check-up and ultrasound. Right after the ultrasound I was waiting for the doc to come in and all of a sudden I felt these little pokes in my belly. It was amazing. Since then, I have felt him a few more times. My book says that from now I may start to see a pattern. We still don't have a definite name, but we are close.

19 Weeks

This week we found out I have a thyroid problem that sometimes occurs with pregnancy. My doctor doesn't seem too worried, I will have to take medication until I give birth to keep it under control. Of course this is safe for the baby.

The babies room is now completely empty. Craig is starting this weekend with the chair rails and bead board. We have found the bedding, so we now have the fun task of picking out the paint. I think we are going with a zoo theme. Neutrals with browns, tans and greens. very cute but not too over the top.

I haven't felt the baby move yet, though I'm hoping he kicks me soon. He was going crazy during our last appointment so I know it's any day now. I'm still sleeping fine, but we went Sunday to get me my body pillow. I was waking up on my back every morning and this is not good for the baby, the pillow seems to be doing the trick. My weight it right on track, hopefully all these holiday treats won't put me over the edge..... heeheehee

Today was the day, will it be pink or blue. Well my husband got his wish and a baby boy it is. We were so overwhelmed and excited, we both cried (tears of joy of course). Now my dreams of pink butterflies and ponytails will be replaced with jungle monkeys and nike baby gear.

It was truely amazing to see our little man up on the screen. I drank some orange juice right before we went in and WOW he was active. little arms and legs moving all over the place. I can't wait to actually feel him move in my belly. My doctor said everything looks good so on to the room we go and now the fun begins........

As far as me, I'm feeling pretty good. I try to exercise at least a few days a week and eat as healthly as possible, but I must admit, baked goods are my down fall, wouldn't even dream of trying to passing them up. So far, I've been lucky enough to skip the heartburn I've herd about and I'm still sleeping quite comfortably. I know this will soon pass.

15 weeks - Baby's first concert

On Sunday we went to the Coldplay concert and the Baby loved it. We were rocking out. This was probably the first concert I've been to sober to and it was still awesome. At the end, they dropped paper butterflies and we saved some for my memory book. I leave for Mass on Wednesday, I can't wait. It's been over 6 months since I've been home. It's going to be freezing, so my mom bought me a wool jacket so me and baby would be nice and warm.

All the tests came back negative for Downs Syndrome. That was great news. We go for more testing in 2 weeks and hopefully we can find out the sex. Craig has cleared out the spare room and we are awaiting to see which colors we will be going with. Pink or blue? Pink would be nice, but I am truely blessed either way.

Our 13 week picture

Today was amazing, We got our real first view of our little angel. What a difference 6 weeks make. At 7 weeks, on the ultra sound, there was just a blob, now you can see the head, and nose and lips. Utterly amazing. The specialist checked the fold on the back of the babies neck to detect Down Syndrome, he said everything looked fine, but we won't know for sure until the bloodwork comes back. We go back in 4 weeks for another ultrasound, hopefully we can find out what the sex is. Yippee
