37 Weeks

37 Weeks

No Change from last week. Lucky me hahaha. baby Logann still has her foot/heel in the right rib cage. This is turning out to be very painful. If nothing happens by next Tuesday, but Dr said she would strip my membranes which means she will sweep a finger into my cervix and detach the bags of water from my cervix. Apparently this isn't 100% but in many cases will get Labor moving. This is also very painful, but at this point I will take it. Still sleeping so that is positive :)

36 Weeks

This week I started my 1x a week Dr check ups. Great news... I am 2cm dialated and about 30% effaced. Dr. isdith said she highly doubts i will go to my due date and she wouldn't make me with all my issues. She said If I haven't gone by the 38 week check up we can talk about inducing. i know this usually means a harder labor, but I am so uncomfotable, i will take it. it hurts me to do just about anything.

At my ultrasound she said the baby was over 6.6 lbs with LOTS of hair. So funny since Cody was born with a full head of hair. I just can't wait to meet her, to see who she looks like and if she is as cute as Cody was and is. At this point I just want my water to break and get this started. Other than being in super pain all the time, I'm not swelling too bad. I still have my wedding band on and most days my feet look ok. Luckily my arms and face don't look too puffy yet either. This is a HUGE difference than with Cody. By week 34 everything was puffy....

This past weekend Sandi and Vicky were up in Orlando with the girls for a Cheerleading meet. Since I couldn't go by myself, my Mom was happy to make the drive with Cody and I. Even though i was in pain, it was a nice 3 days. i needed some girl time. Really have missed not having them here with me and Cody had a  blast with Ari and Gianna. We spent lots of time at the pool with the water slide and even made it to Downtown Disney one night. I was just what i needed.

34 Weeks

Looks like I've made it to 34 weeks. Only 6 to go.... yippee. Not much has changed with me. I am still on modified bedrest, but as long as I don't do too much I can manage the contractions and pain. Some days are worse than others of course, but at least there is an end in site. I have really started to slow down at night, I am just plan exhausted by 6pm. The heartburn has really started to kick up and my feet are swelling, just a little. I am lucky enough to put them up all day, so hopefully I can manage this too... I am still wearing my wedding rings and thank goodness still sleeping fairly well.

This past weekend we took Cody to Disney. We wanted to do something special before the baby came. I of course wasn't able to actually go to the park, but Cody and Craig took full advantage and hit the park for 3 days straight. Thankfully daddy took lots of pictures so i didn't miss anything. We even found one of the onsite hotels that had pirate themed rooms and a great pirate pool. Cody was in heaven.  I was able to rest a bit at the hotle and even got some sun at the pool. It was a nice family weekend even though I wasn't able to enjoy the park.

We are pretty much ready for Logann to make her appearence. of course we want her to wait til at least 37 weeks but for the most part we have everything. Her nursey is almost decorated and  of course we have the crib and furniture set up. We still have all the needed gear from Cody, just need to grab a few things that have been loaned out. I am planning on getting our bags ready in the next week or so and of course her wardrobe is coming along nicely... I really can't wait to meet her, to see her and hold her :)

30 Weeks - Yikes

Well my 3rd and final trimester has brought on some new and exciting pregnancy downfalls. Starting around 24 weeks, baby logann moved on and off my sciatic nerves. This didn't start with Cody until around 33 weeks, there have been days I could barely walk. Luckily heartburn has been down to a minimum but this time around but I am having contractions and have been put on limited bedrest.

Starting on New Years Eve day I starting getting pretty painful contractions, only a few an hour but still there. They continued throughout New Years Day. Everytime I tried to do any kind of walking or cleaning one popped up. I tried to take it easy through the rest of the week, but all the next weekend, I was havng them, but of course i was cleaning and shopping and chasing Cody around. First thing Monday morning I called my Dr. and she she sent me to the Hospital for monitoring. Luckliy, the contractions haven't shortened my cervix, but I was instructed to take it easy or else full bedrest. Unfortunetly this means no gym no exercise... I'm not happy about this but it is what it is.  Of course i am trying my hardest but it is very hard with Cody and all I need to do.

That next weekend, Sunday to be exact I slipped on some water in the kitchen and fell forward on my belly. I must say I have never been so scared in my life. Immediatly i went to the bathroom to check for bleeding, which there was none, but called my Dr anyway. off to the Hospital again. This time they kept me overnight attached to all kinds of monitors. Again, thankfully the baby is fine. The placenta is still in tact and other than some aches and pains everything was fine, no fun, but fine.

Needless to say this pregnancy is much much much different than with Cody, not sure why... Age, natural (LOL) The next 7+ weeks can't go by fast enough for me, and i know it's only going to get worse :(

Christmas 2012

Wow It's January already and Christmas came and went. We had such a good time this year. Cody knew the full meaning and really got into it. Joey the Elf appeared on Thanksgiving and stayed until Christams eve just like last year. Cody would love to find him every morning and if for some reason Joey didn't move (bad Mommy and Daddy, we just said Joey was tired and moved him after Cody went to school.

We were lucky enough this yeat to have Travis, Kim and kids here for Xmas. Just love that we all were able to spend the Holiday with the whole family, makes it that much special.  Cody just loves spending time with his cousins. We visitied Santa 2x, went to Yesteryear Village, and the Xmas spectacular @ Hoffman's chocolates... So excited to see what next year brings with Cody and baby Logann...

WEEK 26: (pictures to follow) As for me... 2nd pregnancy for me is definitely much harder than first. Not sure if it's age or just a different pregnancy. Baby Logann has been sitting on both my front and back sciatic nerves since about week 20. This make it very hard for me to go for walks, exercise, or even sit at my desk. I think this also effects my pelvic area. Sitting at my desk too long is just no fun. I think it's because my belly is heavier and lower this time around. Doesn't actually hurt while I'm sitting, but when i get up... Oh boy, shooting pains all around my lower belly and pelvic area. I did get a belly band that I use while I sit and it helps a bit. Luckily I get to go to the Chiro once a week and get a 30 minute message. this helps wonders, but by the next week, we are back to square one...... On a good note, I am still sleeping quite well and no swelling has started. Yippee

24 Weeks - December 2012

Our house has been a little chaotic lately... Fast growing, eating chewing, niping puppy (already 24 lbs) Crazy toddler, Christams prep and then add almost 25 weeks pregnant, but I wouldn't change anything for the world. Cody is in the full swing of the Christams season. He just loves everything about... the lights, the blow ups (his favorite) the characters and most of all the fun cartoon specials. He just can't get enough of watching Frosty and Rudolph...

Cody has been lucky enough to see 2x so far this Christams season. He's is definitely growing up. Both times he waited patiently in line until it was his turn. Lucky for us the lines haven't been to too lng. We first saw Santa at the Sand Tree Lighting (only in S. Florida) then we went Christams @ Yesteryear Village and saw him again. I just love watching the sparkle he has in his eyes. So magincal

K3 is the first year Cody is able to participate in his school's Christams pagaent. My Mom and I went and it brought tears to my eyes. Each class gets to sing and act 3 songs. Cody was right up front and did such a good job, then they bring the entire school out for a finally together. Just love watching him grow and learn

As for me... This pregnancy is really different then with Cody. Everything seems to be starting much earlier. Seems that baby girl has already settled on my sciatic nerves. Some days are worse than others but bad enough that I have to go to the Chirpractor 1x a week. Cody didn't effect me til well into 32+ weeks. Also the heartburn has started, not too bad but it is there. I'll take everything she gives me because it is such a blessing, but it still stinks while I'm going through it. It's going to be a long 15 weeks :) Oh... and i'm much bigger

Spartan Trocey Bautz

In the midst of all our miracle news, our beloved Trojan passed away in September. He had been really slow lately, had tons of accidents but still eating. One random Tuesday Craig came home for lunch and found him gone. I was hoping he would go in his sleep instead of us having to make the decision to put him down, so this was a blessing, but I really wished I had been the one to find him, not Craig. I came home immediately of course and we decided to have him cremated. I had never seen Craig so upset, but I knew this was how it would be. Trojan was almost eleven... ELEVEN. For a large breed dog this was very old and we had alot of great years with him, but he was Craigs best friend, and not easy to let go.

We decided we would wait just a bit to get another puppy, but not even 4 days later I came home to find Craig on the phone with a women who had Rotweiller puppies and they would be ready in 4 weeks. YIKES... Craig was so excited, this was the first time I had seen him smile in days. So 4 weeks later we picked up Spartan Trocey (what Cody called trojan) Bautz. Of course he had the biggest block head of all the puppies to choose from. Now 12 weeks old he is almost 23lbs. Man, I think this one will be bigger than the last. My hope is that he is fully trained when the baby arrives :)
