Cody's Weekend of First's

This past week was full of first's starting with Cody's first forward crawl. It is so dam cute. It's like a perfect little crawl, one hand and one knee at a time. Cody is also sitting up by himself. At first he could only go from hands and knee's to the right side, now back forth side to side he goes. I'm so amazed, just 3 weeks ago, we were still putting pillows behind him when he sat because we were afraid he would fall back, now he's from one side of the house to the other in 1 minute flat.

I reported last time that Cody was getting his 2 side top teeth, well my guy is now getting his 2 front teeth as well. Poor little man. 4 teeth at once. I think he has a high tolorence to pain because he has only been really cranky a few times, and man that must hurt. My day dreams of dracula pictures are just a thought of the past.

Cody attended his first little league game this weekend. It was opening day at the Boynton Beach LL Field. All of the Palm beach County teams were there. They had Bounce houses and Slides (next year) and practice games all day. it was fun to watch him try to take all the excitment in.

Another first this weekend was Cody's first Cornhole Tournament. Every year around this time Eileen's parents are down from Ohio and we have a big cookout and cornhole.
This year Eileens dad made Cincinati chili and we all brought the fix ins. It was a great day and Cody got to hang with Kellen and both his grandma's. Lots of fun for all.

Cody Boo ~ 9 Months Old

We went to Cody's 9 month visit today and he hasn't really grown much in the past 6 weeks or so. Still about 21 lbs, 28 inches, and head circumference of 45.5 cm. He's now only abut 50 - 60% for height and weight, but still 95% for HC. He's due for a growth spurt any week now..... He is cutting 2 new teeth. His 2 bottom teeth came through around 6 months, but nothing since. I noticed the top left (not front but to the side) this weekend and the Dr Kortz felt the top left(also not front) this morning. Can't wait til they come in, Cody will look like Dracula with his botton 2 teeth and top 2 side teeth.

Went to The Delray Garlic Festival this past weekend with Cody's BFF, Kellen and The Pikes. It was quite chilly and windy. Poor guy wasn't very happy, he had fallen asleep in the car, so when we got there he woke when we moved him into the stroller. By the time were ready to leave he started to crake a smile. None the less, a good time was had. Cody went down the big slide with daddy and went on his first carnival train ride with mommy. Kellen got to go on a few more rides since he is a big boy (18 months), but by next year Cody will enjoy all these fun S. Florida attractions....

Cody"s Crawling - Almost 9 months....

What an exciting week we are having. I worked from my Mom's house on Tuesday and all of a sudden I looked up and Cody was up on all fours crawling backwards. It was so awesome. I feel so blessed that I was there to experience it. I even got a video of it to show Daddy (and the anybody else who wants to see). He has been trying now for a couple of weeks, so we knew it would be any day....

Now last week I could have done without. Cody woke up late last Sunday night crying which is very unlike him. He had a slight fever so i decided to keep him home from daycare (off to grandma's) by Tuesday it was over 101 so to the doctor we went. He has had a slight cough ever since he had the Croop but the doctor said not to worry about it until he had a fever. Well it finally went back into his lungs. I think this was the sickest he's been, or at least the craniest. Man sick babies are no fun. He would try to laugh but would just end up crying, It was sad and frustrating and draining. Thank goodness but Saturday he was starting to feel better and Monday morning he woke up and I could tell i had my happy baby back. What a relief......
